Biography

Felix Carrasco or Pavón was born in Cáceres, particularly in Arroyo de la Luz on November 15, 1924.

From an early age perceive a penchant for drawing and sculpture, with the result that I moved to the beautiful city of Merida and I join the Circle of Fine Arts, where I remain until 1953.

Felix Carrasco or Pavón was born in Cáceres, particularly in Arroyo de la Luz on November 15, 1924.

I have had numerous individual and group exhibitions, notably Extremedura Savings Bank, Public Library and Chamber of ª Hon. Diputación Provincial de Cáceres, Malpartida Houses of Culture and Arroyo de la Luz, also in Madrid.

Collective Competition 1971 First Prize for Sculpture at Santiago de Compostela.

Currently my work is reflected, along with other colleagues in a book written by historian and Art critic Don Manuel Vaz Romero, entitled Contemporary Artists Caceres.

Me say that my passion is not only locked the shop where I work, also the open field, the paths that lead me to that piece of land where an olive tree or a dry cork can give me a beautiful root extract tempt me its sensual forms, the mysteries it hides. This, this is the moment of pleasure that comes before the work that I start.
